The A&G D.I.Y Series – HOME Edition
Today A&G present to you our D.I.Y series.
We’ll be bringing you a range of blog posts, dedicated to the art of D.I.Y, saving pennies and jazzing up your home. Blog posts such as such as fathers day, cute, teen, house hacks, wedding, party and toddler editions are to be expected, so start getting excited. We’ve trolled through our favourite website Pinterest to bring you the best of the best, because we’re lovely like that.
All D.I.Y tutorials we share are simple ones you can do from the comfort of your home – none of that building and drilling business, we know you haven’t got time for that. We’ve hand picked the simple, yet stunning ones we know you’re going to love, so enjoy.
We’re going to kick start this off with our top 5 HOME edition –
- Clay Painted Coasters
How adorably shabby chic are these handmade coasters? The Lovely Drawer brings us a super simple tutorial on how you can make your own – she even includes a lovely tea recipe, so we get two for the price of one, ooo. We love this idea because it’s so adaptable and extremely easy to do from the comfort of your own home. I know we’ll definitely be trying this one out!
2. Mason Jar Lighting
So this one is a tricky one as the tutorial has been taken from a German website Woonblog, so you could say it makes it pretty hard to understand. However we couldn’t miss putting this one into todays post as all pictures are pretty easy to follow (we promise). Mason jars are a huge trend at the moment due their versatility – you may remember us mentioning them in our recent Shabby Chic blog post. We have to say, this may be our favourite mason jar idea to date!
3. D.I.Y Wall Garden
How cute are these? Tutorial taken from Ruffled Blog, this unique style terrarium is the perfect accessory for your kitchen (and wedding favors according to the tutorial itself- lovely idea!) Simple to do yet so classy, this project is one you could whack together on a sunny saturday morning no problem.
We’re all in love with IKEA hacks, there’s something rather rewarding about making something ‘bland’ look fantastic. Well this is exactly what Tell Love and Party did with some simple woven boxes, the outcome? FANTASTIC. So simple, yet so lovely – these boxes would look fantastic with a Bohemian style bedroom, don’t you think?
Here’s an alternative box from Ikea you could try this technique out on!
5. Colour Dipped Wall Art
Are you trying to add a bit of colour to your room? Do you like modern twists and quirkiness? well this ones for you. We love this tutorial from DIY Candy because it’s something we can do with our products and well you gotta’ love that right? We’ve experimented with our frames quite a lot recently- if you saw us at the Ideal Home Show London, you would have seen our hand painted pink, sage, blue and turquoise frames which proved to be a big hit (Tutorial on that coming soon) – and have to say, they look incredible in unusual colours!
Have you got an A&G frame already? or an old vintage picture – well this D.I.Y hack is perfect got you. Experiment a little, have fun!
So, there you have it our top 5 HOME D.I.Y tutorials that are simple and easy to do at home.
Lots of Love
